Inception

When I was in undergrad, I decided to spend the summer teaching English in Japan before heading into my first year of law school.
At the age of 22, to say I was naive as hell would be an understatement. Without knowing anything about the places I was about to visit, I decided to quit my teaching job in Japan and ended up galavanting across India and East Africa carrying nothing but a credit card (useless in those countries), two hundred dollars and a school sized knapsack. I hadn't even brought any clothes except for the ones I was wearing. But after thinking I was going to die from Malaria in India, sleeping in the cargo compartment in an overnight boat to Kenya, meeting the son of the Vice President of Tanzania in Zanzibar, getting a first hand underground tour of a diamond smuggling operation by "Milli", a famed jewel smuggler out on parole and getting into more silliness in one trip than most people experience in a lifetime - my travel addiction was born.
So now here I am, 60+ countries later, about to start on my next big journey with my super new, super cutie and super fun hubby!  We can't wait!
